7. Recipes, Ingredients, and Safety
SipIt is an information-sharing platform. Recipes and customization instructions may be submitted by users or based on third-party information.
SipIt does not independently test, verify, approve, or guarantee every:
- recipe;
- ingredient;
- quantity;
- preparation instruction;
- customization;
- allergen statement;
- nutrition estimate;
- caffeine estimate;
- dietary label; or
- safety statement.
You are responsible for verifying that a recipe and its ingredients are safe and appropriate for you.
Before preparing or consuming a beverage, you should independently consider:
- allergies;
- food intolerances;
- dietary restrictions;
- medical conditions;
- pregnancy;
- medication interactions;
- caffeine content;
- sugar content;
- alcohol content;
- ingredient freshness;
- preparation temperatures;
- food-handling practices; and
- age-appropriate consumption.
Never consume an ingredient merely because it appears in a SipIt recipe.
Do not follow a recipe if an ingredient or instruction appears unsafe, unclear, or inappropriate.
Information provided through SipIt is not medical, nutritional, dietary, or other professional advice.
8. AI-Generated Information
SipIt may display automatically generated categories, tags, descriptions, nutrition estimates, caffeine estimates, or other recipe information.
Automated or AI-generated information may be:
- inaccurate;
- incomplete;
- outdated;
- inconsistent; or
- inappropriate for your circumstances.
You should not rely on generated information as a substitute for professional advice, official product information, ingredient labels, or your own safety assessment.
SipIt may modify, regenerate, reject, or remove generated information at any time.
SipIt does not send user-uploaded images to OpenAI or Google Gemini through the text moderation and metadata-generation processes described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Franchise Recipes and Third-Party Brands
SipIt may display or allow users to select menu items, products, ingredients, and customization options associated with third-party brands, including Starbucks and Dunkin’.
This information is provided for identification, reference, compatibility, and recipe-sharing purposes.
Menus and customization options may:
- change without notice;
- vary by store, region, or country;
- be seasonal;
- be temporarily unavailable;
- contain different ingredients; or
- be prepared differently at different locations.
SipIt does not guarantee that:
- a listed item is currently available;
- a location will accept a customization;
- a customization will produce the same result at every store;
- pricing is accurate;
- ingredient or nutritional information is complete; or
- an employee will recognize SipIt terminology.
Starbucks and related names, trademarks, logos, and menu item names are owned by Starbucks Corporation or its affiliates.
Dunkin’ and related names, trademarks, logos, and menu item names are owned by their respective owners.
SipIt is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected with Starbucks, Dunkin’, or their respective owners.
Users may not falsely state or imply that their content has been approved, sponsored, or endorsed by SipIt or a third-party brand.
10. Likes, Saves, Recommendations, and Rankings
SipIt may allow users to like, save, search, filter, rank, or receive recommendations for recipes.
A recipe’s likes, saves, ranking, popularity, recommendation status, or trending status does not mean that SipIt has:
- tested the recipe;
- verified its accuracy;
- confirmed its safety;
- approved its ingredients; or
- endorsed the user who submitted it.
SipIt may change how likes, saves, recommendations, rankings, and engagement counts are calculated or displayed.
We may remove fraudulent, automated, manipulated, or abusive engagement.
11. Reporting Recipes and Users
SipIt allows users to report recipes and user accounts that they reasonably believe violate:
- these Terms;
- the SipIt Community Guidelines;
- applicable law; or
- the safety of the SipIt community.
Users may submit:
- a recipe report concerning content that may be unsafe, inappropriate, misleading, infringing, or otherwise prohibited; or
- a user report concerning account activity or behavior that may violate SipIt’s rules.
When submitting a report, you should select the most relevant reason and provide accurate information where additional details are requested.
You may not use SipIt’s reporting tools to:
- harass another user;
- retaliate after a disagreement;
- submit knowingly false or misleading claims;
- manipulate recipe visibility;
- coordinate abusive or fraudulent reports; or
- interfere with the normal operation of SipIt.
Reports are reviewed by SipIt.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that a recipe will be removed or that an account will be restricted, suspended, or terminated.
When reviewing a report, SipIt may consider:
- the reported content;
- the surrounding context;
- the reported user’s activity;
- previous violations;
- the seriousness of the alleged conduct;
- available technical information; and
- other information reasonably relevant to the review.
SipIt may not provide the reporting user with detailed information about the investigation or any action taken against another user.
12. Content Moderation and Manual Review
SipIt may use automated text-moderation systems and manual review to identify content that may violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.
Automated moderation may review text before or after it is published.
Text reviewed may include:
- usernames;
- profile biographies;
- recipe titles;
- recipe descriptions;
- ingredient names;
- preparation instructions;
- recipe notes; and
- report descriptions.
Automated moderation systems may make mistakes. Content may be incorrectly flagged, rejected, allowed, or restricted.
Automated moderation results may be considered together with user reports, contextual information, and manual review.
SipIt makes enforcement decisions based on the information reasonably available at the time.
SipIt does not guarantee that every prohibited item of content will be detected or removed immediately.
13. Enforcement
If SipIt determines that content or conduct violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or community safety requirements, SipIt may:
- reject a recipe before publication;
- remove a recipe;
- reduce or restrict the visibility of content;
- remove or require changes to profile information;
- remove fraudulent or manipulated engagement;
- issue a warning;
- temporarily restrict account features;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently terminate an account;
- preserve information relevant to an investigation;
- refer serious conduct to appropriate authorities; or
- take other reasonable action necessary to protect SipIt and its users.
Not every report will result in enforcement.
Content or an account may remain available if SipIt determines that:
- there is insufficient evidence of a violation;
- the reported activity does not violate SipIt’s rules; or
- no enforcement action is reasonably necessary.
When determining the appropriate action, SipIt may consider:
- the seriousness of the violation;
- whether the conduct was intentional;
- whether actual or potential harm occurred;
- whether the user has committed previous violations;
- whether the user corrected the issue;
- the context in which the content was posted; and
- applicable legal obligations.
SipIt may take immediate action without prior warning when content or conduct presents a serious legal, security, or safety risk.
14. Appeals
SipIt may provide a way for users to request review of certain content-removal, restriction, suspension, or termination decisions.
An appeal should explain:
- which decision you believe was incorrect;
- why you believe the content or conduct did not violate SipIt’s rules;
- relevant context; and
- any corrective action you have taken.
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a decision will be reversed.
Repeated, fraudulent, abusive, or irrelevant appeals may be rejected.
Appeal requests may be sent to: sipit.app.official@gmail.com
15. Intellectual Property Complaints
SipIt respects intellectual property rights.
If you believe content available through SipIt infringes your copyright, trademark, or another intellectual property right, contact: sipit.app.official@gmail.com
Your notice should include:
- identification of the protected work or right;
- identification of the allegedly infringing content;
- information sufficient to locate the content;
- your name and contact information;
- an explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate; and
- any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the request.
We may remove or restrict content that we reasonably believe infringes another person’s rights.
We may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights.
Knowingly submitting a materially false infringement claim may result in legal liability.
16. SipIt’s Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service and its components are owned by or licensed to SipIt.
This may include:
- SipIt’s software;
- source code;
- application design;
- interface;
- graphics;
- branding;
- logos;
- original text;
- database organization;
- recommendation systems; and
- other proprietary materials.
Subject to these Terms, SipIt grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, and nontransferable license to access and use the Service for lawful personal use.
This license does not permit you to:
- copy or redistribute substantial portions of SipIt;
- sell or sublicense access to SipIt;
- commercially exploit SipIt without permission;
- remove ownership notices;
- use SipIt’s branding without authorization;
- systematically extract SipIt’s database;
- create a competing database using SipIt content; or
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
17. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, feedback, or feature requests concerning SipIt, you grant us permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.
This does not transfer ownership of your recipes, photos, or other User Content to SipIt.
18. Third-Party Services
SipIt may use or connect to third-party services, including:
- Firebase Authentication;
- Firebase Cloud Storage;
- Google Sign-In;
- Sign in with Apple;
- Facebook Login;
- X/Twitter Login;
- Amazon Web Services for backend hosting, databases, backups, and cloud infrastructure;
- OpenAI text-moderation services;
- Google Gemini text metadata-generation services; and
- other infrastructure or security providers necessary to operate SipIt.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
SipIt does not control and is not responsible for a third party’s independent:
- availability;
- security;
- content;
- account decisions; or
- data-processing practices.
19. No Paid Features
SipIt does not currently offer:
- paid subscriptions;
- in-app purchases;
- paid recipe access; or
- other paid features.
We may introduce paid features in the future.
Before charging users, SipIt will provide applicable information regarding pricing, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and additional payment terms.
20. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue all or part of SipIt.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature, recipe, user account, franchise menu item, customization option, recommendation, integration, or item of User Content will always remain available.
Where reasonably practicable, we may provide notice before discontinuing a significant feature. Immediate changes may be necessary for legal, security, operational, or technical reasons.
21. Account Deletion
You may stop using SipIt at any time.
You may initiate account deletion through the account settings within the application or by contacting: sipit.app.official@gmail.com
Deleting your SipIt account may result in deletion of:
- your profile;
- your recipes;
- your uploaded photos;
- your likes;
- your saved recipes; and
- other information associated with your account.
Certain information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, investigation of violations, dispute resolution, or enforcement.
Deleting your SipIt account does not automatically delete your account with Google, Apple, Facebook, or X.
22. Account Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to SipIt if we reasonably determine that:
- you violated these Terms or the Community Guidelines;
- your account is involved in fraud or abuse;
- you attempted unauthorized access;
- your conduct creates legal, security, or safety risk;
- your content infringes another person’s rights;
- termination is required by law; or
- continued access could harm SipIt, its users, or others.
Where appropriate, we may provide a warning or an opportunity to appeal.
We may take immediate action without notice when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or another person.
Following termination, you must stop using the affected account and may not evade the restriction by creating another account.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including provisions concerning ownership, licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO SIPIT DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR
- FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS.
Because SipIt currently does not offer paid features, the applicable amount will ordinarily be fifty United States dollars.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
25. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SipIt and its developer from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising out of or relating to:

This section does not require indemnification for conduct for which indemnification cannot legally be required.
26. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
Before initiating a formal legal proceeding, you and SipIt agree to make a reasonable, good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.
You may initiate informal resolution by sending a description of the issue and your requested resolution to: sipit.app.official@gmail.com
Unless applicable law provides otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or SipIt may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Michigan.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law.
27. Apple-Specific Terms
If you download SipIt through Apple’s App Store, you acknowledge and agree that:
- these Terms are between you and SipIt, not Apple;
- Apple is not responsible for SipIt or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for SipIt;
- Apple is not responsible for claims relating to SipIt, including product-liability, regulatory, consumer-protection, or intellectual-property claims;
- your use of SipIt must comply with applicable App Store usage rules; and
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.
Nothing in this section imposes responsibility on Apple beyond obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
28. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to:
- SipIt’s features;
- our practices;
- applicable law;
- our service providers; or
- security and operational needs.
When these Terms are updated, we will revise the Effective Date at the top.
If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through SipIt or another reasonable method.
Your continued use of SipIt after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using SipIt and may delete your account.
29. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
The remaining provisions will remain in effect.
30. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.
A waiver is effective only if provided in writing by SipIt.
31. Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written permission.
We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset transfer, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, the SipIt Privacy Policy, and the SipIt Community Guidelines constitute the entire agreement between you and SipIt regarding the Service.
They replace any prior agreements or understandings concerning the same subject matter.
